When it comes to your wedding, nothing is more important than the photographs which captures that moment in time.  Other then your wedding dress, the wedding photography is the most important.  With regards to wedding photography, the biggest aspect of this is the posing. Sure those caught off guard shots can be great, but in most cases they will usually end up being the photos that are left in the envelope for all time. It is the important shots, the preplanned ones which are most important. Poses like the garter and the flower toss are a must have. Then of course there is the entire wedding party and the bride and groom by themselves. Each and every pose has an important meaning, and therefore each shot has to be properly set up.

What does this mean to you?  Some of the best wedding photography is posed. Your photographer should be aware of this and should go over each and every shot with you.   The various preplanned shots, that are simply a must have, should be rehearsed prior.  If your photographer fails to do this, then the chances of the shot being less then desirable increases.

Furthermore, each person in every shot needs to be perfectly posed. With regards to posing in wedding photography, one cannot forget the importance of the head tilt. For men the masculine tilt is forward towards the ground as if they are looking 15 feet in front of them at a spot on the floor. Keep in mind though that too much tilt is bad. On the other hand, the women need to tilt their heads to the side. Everything in every single shot needs to be flowing. Paying close attention to the little details; especially with regards to the gown of the bride is of utmost importance.

While most wedding photographers already know these things, it is important for anyone to know them so that they can be prepared to assist at a moment’s notice. Make every moment count and every memory of your wedding last forever with the right photographer for your wedding.
